Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

NuvStem respects intellectual-property rights and expects users, tutors, mentors, contributors, and staff to do the same.

1. NuvStem materials

Unless expressly stated otherwise, NuvStem owns or licenses the content made available through the Services, including:

• branding and logos;
• website text;
• templates;
• worked examples;
• example reports;
• diagrams;
• learning resources;
• interface design;
• original graphics; and
• other NuvStem Content.

Access to NuvStem Content does not transfer ownership.

2. Permitted personal learning use

Unless a separate license says otherwise, users may access NuvStem Content for personal learning and lawful use of the Services.

Users must not, without written permission:

• resell or redistribute NuvStem Content;
• upload it to document-sharing, answer-sharing, or competing platforms;
• scrape or systematically extract it;
• publish it;
• remove attribution or ownership notices;
• use it to create a competing content library;
• use it to train a competing model; or
• copy, paraphrase, or submit it as their own academic work.

3. User Content

Users retain ownership of their User Content.

Users grant NuvStem only the limited rights described in the Terms of Service to host, store, process, and use User Content as needed to provide and protect the Services and comply with law.

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to submit the content they upload.

4. Course and third-party materials

Do not upload or share material you are not authorized to provide.

This may include:

• copyrighted textbooks;
• solution manuals;
• exam banks;
• answer keys;
• unreleased exams;
• private lecture materials;
• confidential research data;
• proprietary company documents;
• another student's work; or
• paid materials licensed only for individual use.

Where quotation, criticism, review, research, education, fair dealing, fair use, license terms, or another legal exception may apply, the scope of that exception depends on the law and facts. Users remain responsible for lawful use.

5. Example reports and templates

NuvStem examples and reports are provided for learning and reference.

They are not pre-written submissions.

Unless a specific license says otherwise, users must not:

• submit an example as their own;
• copy or lightly paraphrase it into graded work;
• redistribute it;
• sell it;
• publish it; or
• upload it to another platform.

Where material derived from a student contribution is used, NuvStem must have appropriate rights and must anonymize personal information before publication.

6. Reporting alleged infringement

If you believe material available through NuvStem infringes copyright or another intellectual-property right, email copyright@nuvstem.com.

Include enough information for us to understand and evaluate the complaint:

• your name and contact information;
• identification of the work or right you believe is affected;
• identification or exact location of the material complained about;
• an explanation of the alleged infringement;
• information showing that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner;
• a good-faith statement that the complaint is accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
• your physical or electronic signature or other reliable confirmation of authority.

Do not knowingly submit false or misleading complaints.

7. How NuvStem may respond

NuvStem may:

• request more information;
• preserve relevant records;
• restrict access while reviewing a complaint;
• contact the user or contributor who provided the material;
• remove or disable access to material;
• restore access where appropriate;
• suspend or terminate repeat or serious infringers; or
• take another reasonable step permitted or required by law.

A complaint does not automatically establish infringement.

8. Responses from affected users

If NuvStem contacts you about a complaint concerning material you provided, you may respond with:

• identification of the affected material;
• your explanation of why the material is lawful or authorized;
• relevant license or permission information;
• your contact information; and
• any other information reasonably needed to evaluate the dispute.

NuvStem may share relevant portions of the complaint and response as reasonably necessary to evaluate or resolve the issue, subject to applicable privacy law.

9. Statutory notices

This Policy provides a general complaint process for content associated with NuvStem.

Separate statutory procedures may apply in particular jurisdictions or to particular intermediary functions. NuvStem will comply with legal obligations that apply to it.
